Evidence before assertion
A governance decision should point to the context, analysis, review, and validation that support it.
About SmartRisk
Our mission is to help organizations make consequential technology decisions with greater clarity, accountability, and evidence.
Mission protocol
The category
AI governance becomes real in the operating details: which systems exist, why they are used, who owns them, what risks were considered, what controls were selected, how performance was validated, and what changed after deployment.
SmartRisk’s category vision is to connect those details into a durable operating system—not another static policy document. The goal is governance that can move with the technology while preserving the evidence behind each decision.
Where our perspective comes from
Medical-device quality and risk practice has long required teams to connect intended use, hazards, controls, validation, traceability, change, and post-market learning. That systems perspective shapes how SmartRisk approaches AI governance.
SmartRisk supports governance and evidence workflows. It does not replace a quality management system, professional regulatory advice, or an organization’s responsibility to determine applicable requirements.
Evidence-first principles
A governance decision should point to the context, analysis, review, and validation that support it.
Technology can structure the work. People with defined authority must make and approve consequential decisions.
Discovery is the beginning. Change, validation, monitoring, and remediation keep the decision current.
A control that teams cannot understand or operate consistently will not produce trustworthy evidence.
